Mentors at MART are senior experts from the industry with rich experience, who guide team members on various projects and thematic assignments and feel a sense of pride in contributing to MART’s mission.

Kartik Raina
Mr. Raina, an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, specializes in sales and marketing and has 35 years of experience working in the FMCG sector. During his career he has assumed varied roles – He was the head of All India Sales as well as Country Manager, Bangladesh for SmithKline Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline). During his tenure at GSK, he headed the Sales Training function in India, as also training faculty for 9 countries. He is Ex – CEO of Dabur’s Foods business, where he conceived and launched Real Fruit Juice and was also Managing Director of CPC (Unilever Bestfoods) for Sri Lanka and Maldives. Since 2005 he is running his own training and consulting firm called Learning Facilitators. Kartik is also a visiting faculty at various management schools. Regarding his association with MART, he says, “given Pradeep’s expertise and his team’s motivated experiences, I felt I could learn much more than what I contribute to the association. In everyone in the MART team, I have seen a very deep seated commitment to the cause of rural marketing, and also a high sense of humility – values rare in today’s corporate world. It’s an honour to be part of such a team.”

Sudhir Chand
Mr. Sudhir Chand, an ex-Director on the Board of EXIDE Industries, is a management consultant associated with MART as a mentor for past 4 years. He specializes in the area of talent management and organization development and has rich experience in marketing and strategic organization. He has added value to MART team on projects like the USAID project in Nepal on organizational change from an ‘aid dependant’ organisation to a self sustaining one in line with MART’s philosophy of ‘Business mind with a social heart’. He has also provided crucial guidance on a World Bank funded NREGS implementation project in developing accountability oriented delivery structures.

According to him, “working with MART is like working with a family of young passionate dedicated people whose focus is entirely on what they do. They LIVE a positive outlook and love what they do. Working with them is a two way mentoring process. They imbibe what they can from my experience and I imbibe their attitude, spirit and open minded lateral application of whatever insights I can give them from my 40 years or more. The MART team members energize me”

Bhalender Singh Nayyar
Mr. Nayyar has rich experience of thirty years working with companies like Escorts, Gabriel and MICO Bosch, Usha Sales and Niky Tasha, The Times of India, Zee, InterShoppe and Asian Sky Shop. He is currently a visiting faculty at various management institutes and has conducted Management Development Programmes in the field of marketing strategy, sales and distribution, retail management, soft skills and business negotiations.
He has been associated with the MART team for the last four years as a consultant and a mentor. He describes his association with MART in following words – “Pradeep’s personal involvement in projects spreads the passion amongst the team members; there is thirst for learning amongst all the team members irrespective of position; there is high degree of interaction leading to a better learning environment. It has indeed been a privilege interacting with the team and adding to my own knowledge and skills”.
